Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We were tremendous today from 1-14 - including all three subs. It was a high quality game which was ignited by two brilliant goals in the first half.

"Faithfold scored a screamer against the run of play, but Avidan Last put us on level terms with a goal of similar quality.

"Josh Lipman was outstanding at the back in keeping their two excellent forwards quiet and Ben Lauffer had his best game for us in showing his full all-round reportoire.

"However, today was a real squad effort with quality all around the pitch and when we needed to close it out in the second half we had Josh Bentley and Ari Last to bring on to shore things up.

"Faithfold are a top side, but I thought we thoroughly deserved our win on the balance of play and we were delighted to come away with three massive points."

Faithfold manager Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "I'm disappointed to say the least. We gave away two sloppy goals and our ball retention was not great today.

"Playing against battling teams you need to retain the ball. We also missed some good chances well done to Hendon."
