Temple Fortune A ended a bad week with a resounding 5-0 defeat against Chigwell at Peter May.

Braces from Anthony Mendel and Doron Weinstein kept alive Chigwell's promotion dreams, with Jonathan Swead putting the icing on the cake.

Chigwell went into the break 2-0 up thanks to a penalty from Mendel and a cool one-on-one finish from Weinstein.

Weinstein made it 3-0 in the second half, converting a corner from Richard Slater at the back post, before Mendel made it four with a side-footed volley from the edge of the box following a cross from Craig Pearl. Swead capped off an excellent performance with a superb strike into the top corner from 18 yards.

Delighted Chigwell player-manager Richard Slater told JC Sport: "'The lads were excellent today. We played some really good football from start to finish and four of the goals were superb. Fortune couldn't handle us and we should have hit a few more in the last 15."
