Glenthorne United A came from two goals down to draw against 10-man Camden Park in a promotion six-pointer at Ford Sports & Social.

Camden went into the break two goals up through Dan Baneth and Rob Hershkorn, but the dismissal of Nick Kagan early in the second half, for two cautionable offences, gave Glenthorne a lifeline and they snatched a point with a penalty from Daniel Lassman and Richie Rosenthal.

Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: "With so many players missing it was a very good point for us, and nothing less than what we deserved. They will be there come the end of the season no doubt."

Camden player-manager Josh Marks told JC Sport: "Having cruised through the first half, taking a two-goal lead into the break, it was a sickening result for us in the end.

"After being reduced to 10 men early in the second half, we knew it was going to be a tough battle. We gave away a penalty soon afterwards and even then had a couple chances to kill the game off. But we didn’t and they snatched an equaliser in the last minutes.

"We lie eight points behind them with three games in hand. Not sure who I’d rather be ..."

DC Prediction: Glenthorne 1 Camden 1
