Camden Park clinched promotion after winning a five-goal thriller against title rivals Hendon B in West Hendon.

The visitors forged ahead early one when Guy Marks finished off a passing move that looked like it had come straight off the Barcelona training ground.

Hendon equalised from a free-kick before going into the break with a 2-1 advantage with strikes from Chaim Gothold and Gav Noe.

After a few tactical changes, Camden started the second half well and they were awarded a penalty which was won and cooly converted by midfielder Luke Brooker to set up a grandstand finish.

Brookner then turned provider for the winner as super-sub Josh Toff nicked the winner from a set-piece.

Camden player-manager Josh Marks told JC Sport: "It Was a great game. After going ahead I thought it was going to be our day.

"I was very impressed with team as they showed what this game meant to each and everyone of them.

"The boys played out of their skins and everyone gave 110 per cent."

"Although Guy Marks showed his class and was the driving force of our team for the entire 90 minutes, Luke Brookner gets my vote for the second week running as man of the match after his goal and two assists. He’s been a tremendous signing and played an important part in our last three games against Redbridge, Glenthorne and Hendon which has really been the crunch point in our push for promotion and title challenge.

"I'm very happy that we’ve achieved promotion but I will be much happier when we win the league."

Hendon joint-manager Motty Korman told JC Sport: "It was a tough game and we were unlucky to have a man sent off when were winning 2-1, but that is football and well played to Camden who kept fighting until the end.

"We conceded very early and did well to gain the lead, but their determination and fitness gave them the upper hand.

"Congratulations to them for promotion, but we will be ready for the return fixture in two weeks knowing that a win will keep us in the title race."
