Burns bang on the money for SPEC FC
SPEC FC |
1 - 0 | Glenthorne United B |
| Ashley Burns |
Ashley Burns scored the only goal as SPEC FC boosted their promotion hopes with a hard-earned win over fellow high-flyers Glenthorne B at Hatfield Uni.
Glenthorne joint-player-manager Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "It was a game with very little quality, settled by an individual mistake. No keeper really had a save to make all game as both defences played really well.
"We were denied a stonewall penalty early on and never really got going. Adam Goldman was very unlucky not to be on the scoresheet after his strike was ruled out after a very very dubious offside call.
"The game had 0-0 written all over it with no team really deserving the win in my opinion. SPEC are a good team though, but we know that we can and should be playing a lot better than we did today. Hopefully when we get back a few of our key players we will get back to playing at our best."
DC Prediction: SPEC FC 2 Glenthorne B 1
