Leaders Faithfold had to settle for a point as a resurgent Brady gave them an almighty scare in an early kick-off at Rowley Lane.

The home side shaded the first half possession and created the better chances, but went behind against the run of play after 25 minutes through Dan Perkins, but they fully deserved their equaliser five min before half time when Josh Hershman pounced a half clearance to slam the ball home.

Brady started the second half in confident fashion and scored after a few minutes when Bradley Sharp hit a 30-yard pass straight into the path of the advancing Ben Joseph who met it with a bullet header.

Faithfold pushed for an equaliser and took the the game to Brady who held out brilliantly until Faithfold scored with 10 minutes to go following a free kick which resulted in a but of ping-pong in the area before it was volleyed home by Mike Pearson from inside the six-yard box.

Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "It was a great game which probably ended with the correct result. I was extremely proud of the boys today - they showed that with a full squad liked we had today we are a match for anyone in this league.

"The boys played their best football of the season in the first 60 minutes and fully deserved something out of the game. We are now unbeaten in six games and we will look to continue that next week against NLR."

Faithfold manager Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "I am happy with our determination to get a point against a good team."

DC Prediction: Brady 1 Faithfold A 1
