Woodford came from behind to seal the title over fellow high-flyers Brady B 2-1, just as I predicted.

With Neasden thumping Chigwell, Tony Charles's men needed maximum points as they didn't disappoint in front of their fans at Fairlop.

Mitch Hahn, whose appearance this season has been sparse - despite the uneducated opinion - scored twice to ensure Woodford claimed three points.

Stanley Offord had put Brady in front, but in the end the north-west Londoners were forced to settle for fourth spot.

Woodford boss Tony Charles told JC Sport: "Woodford were not even mentioned at the beginning of the season and they have certainly proved everyone wrong.

"We've won the most games, conceded the least goals and accumulated the most points, the perfect recipe for champions.

"The Woodford boys are sipping champagne in the Essex sun and wish brady all the best next season in Div One.

Chairman Alex Aviram added: "This is what happens when you have a real coach take your team rather than an overweight ageing volunteer!

"Woodford will enjoy our day in the sun, we finished first!"
