Philippe Auret (2) was on target again as Whetstone boosted their chances of a top four finish by hitting Hendon for six.

Further strikes from Jonah Gordon Boyd (2), Josh Silverman and Sam Leader completed the rout.

Jono Nesbitt grabbed a consolation after latching on to a long ball from David Elf over the top of Whetstone defence and using his pace to get in behind and chip the keeper from just inside the area.

Mill Hill joint-manager Clive Nathan told JC Sport: "It was a difficult, bobbly surface and having gone in at half time at 1-1, I would have taken any sort of win.

However, the boys were fantastic and really got at it in the second half. Our youth and fitness allowed us to play at a high tempo and that got us four goals in quick succession.

"Bearing in kind the conditions we played some really good football and scored some excellent goals."
