Super-sub PHILLIPE AURET was the hat-trick hero as AC Whetstone romped to derby day delight with a five-star victory over Faithfold C at Chase Lodge.

A brace from Samuel Leader finished the job.

Delighted Whetstone joint-manager Clive Nathan told JC Sport: "It was difficult today. The pitch and swirling conditions did not allow for flowing football. I was pleased with our organisation and discipline against a physically strong side.

"We have been affiliated to Faithfold for many years and we admire all that the club stands for. They have been very helpful to AC Whetstone and it was good to play against them in a such a sporting match.

"Phillipe Auret showed great attitude to come off the bench with 35 minutes to go and get a hat-trick. He and our man of the match David Clements were excellent today ... as were all the boys."
