Title rivals finish all square
|1 - 1|
Man of the moment Jake Yudelowitz halted table-topping Jewdinese in the battle of the title hopefuls.
This was a fiercly-contested game between two teams who desperately want to win the league. It was ultimately a game of two halves as Jewdinese dominated the first period, but they NLR the second.
Once Jewdinese opened the scoring through Zack Collins, Norstar then grew into the game and equalised in the second half whilst also having a shot cleared off the line.
If it wasn't for keeper Josh Frey, Jewdinese could have lost this game by a couple more but he produced a save of the season contender as he dived across his goal to tip a shot onto the post.
Jewdinese player-chairman Jake Erlich told JC Sport: "This was two points lost rather a point gained. We are by far the better team and really should have won.
"I would also like to say that I understand that a game can get heated during 90 minutes, but after the match once players having shaken hands then it should be forgotten. I think three or four Norstar players need to focus on their football rather than let their ego get the better of then. Were in the MSFL not UFC.!"
NLR stand-in manager Liam Stein told JC Sport: "It was a fiery game of two halves where either team could have nicked a winner but overall the draw was a fair result on both teams.
"After a good start to the season NLR go into the new year with confidence knowing there is still a long way to go and some tough games ahead."
