Three cheers for Loughton Orient
|0 - 3|
Loughton Orient produced one of the performances of the weekend, with Adam Conway, Matt West and Josh Jacobs among the goals as they dented Catford's title hopes.
Orient started the game very well and were very much on top when the first goal came. A great corner from James Law to the back post was met with a coolly taken header by Conway to give Orient the lead they deserved.
The pattern of play stayed the same and just before half time Orient doubled their lead with another header from West who met David Blitz superb cross.
After the break Catford had a 10-minute spell, however Orient were solid at the back and not in any mood to let Catford back in the game.
Orient had a chance to finish the have off from the spot but a good save from the Catford goalkeeper prevented Dan Howard getting the goal his performance deserved.
However, the third goal came with around 10 minutes left and the best was saved for last. A long ball over the top from Adam Conway put Jacobs through on goal and he brilliantly chipped the goalie to seal a much deserved victory.
Loughton manager Dan Curtis told JC Sport: "It was a great performance from everyone today. The commitment was superb and we played some lovely football."
