Onwards and upwards for Loughton

Dan Curtis praised his Loughton Orient players following what he described as "their best performance of the season," as they overcame high-flying NLR C in Walthamstow.
Orient came into the game full of confidence after recent results and that showed for the whole 90 minutes.
From the the first minute Orient looked up for this and after some long spells of good possession and pressure the goal came around the half hour mark. A whipped-in corner from the right was met by Josh Jacobs who with the flick of a boot directed it into the top corner - it was a top quality finish and had been coming.
Orient looked solid all over and did not allow Norstar a sniff of a chance throughout. Jaimie Sinclair was running the show and seemed to be everywhere putting out fires before they could start.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Orient controlling the game and it wasn't long before the lead was doubled. A whipped in cross that was a nightmare for defenders to deal with ended up in the back of the net for an own goal.
The last 20 minutes was seen out well by Orient who nearly added a third but for a good save from the Norstar goalkeeper.
Jubilant Orient boss Dan Curtis told JC Sport: "That was our best performance of the season - everyone played well and we won our battles all over the pitch.
"I talked to the boys before the game about tightening up defensively and to stop shipping goals and that's exactly what they did.
"A very pleasing performance and we are unbeaten in three which is great."
