Jewdinese step up a gear

Jewdinese gave their promotion hopes a major boost with a handsome win over Hendon C.
Strikes from Zack Collins (2), Barney Rhodes and Ben Berrick eased them home.
This was Hendon's first loss in five games at West Hendon. The Reds wasted a one-on-one chance to take early lead and they were punished when a corner wasn't dealt with for an early goal and before the half was up a low shot under the keeper gave Jewdinese a half-time lead 2-0 lead.
Hendon came out after the break and enjoyed good period of possession, but they were caught short from a quick counter for a 3-0, with the fourth coming in the closing stages.
Jewdinese manager Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "I am running out of superlatives when it comes to praising my players. Another fantastic performance and results from the boys and with seven games remaining, we are in a fantastic position."
Club chairman Jake Erlich told JC Sport: "Although we have been getting the results, we know that our performance could have and should have been much better. We dominated the full 90 on Sunday and couldn’t have asked for a better confidence boost going into a huge game against Norstar."
Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "All in all Jewdinese deserved the win although four goals certainly flattered them.
"They're a young team who just need to act a bit more respect and could have avoided their three yellow cards with the fair play their so lacking."
