It's home James for FC Team
|5 - 2|
Burton Hole Lane, London NW7
Two more goals from the in-form James Joseph paved the way for an FC Team C victory as they showed their quality against fellow promotion hopefuls Blizzard Storm in Mill Hill.
Andrew Hurwitz, David James Cohen and an own goal completed the scoring.
It took Team a bit longer to get going today. The first half was marred by sloppy passing on a slick pitch. Team created a few chances in the first half and found the breakthrough after Shim Bensoor was bundled over in the box, through on goal. The defender was fortunate to still be on the pitch.
However, Blizzard Storm equalised with their only chance of the half through Dan Simons and it was up to Ben Gilbey to rally the boys in yellow and blue.
The half-time team talk had an immediate effect with Team scoring two quick fire goals. Blizzard pulled one back through Simons, but Team put the game to bed with two more quick goals.
The second half was much better performance by both teams.
Delighted FC Team joint-manager Michael Myers told JC Sport: "Our passing clicked in the second half and some of the link-up play was fantastic.
"It was a tough physical game but with players like Rob Sanford and Oli Senchal, who relish the physicality, Team controlled the tempo and had the majority of possession and overall it was a good performance."
Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We struggled today, it wasn't easy. It didn't help losing a couple of players at half time, but on the day the best side won.
"We have to bounce back next week."
