Isaacs inspires classy Catford
|2 - 0|
Table-toppers Catford & Bromley won 2-0 for the second week in a row as their title push gathered momentum against Temple Fortune in Edmonton.
Joel Isaacs was the two-goal hero - including a stunning volley - as the Cats recorded win number eight.
The Cats never really got out of second gear for much of the game, but still managed to create some decent chances and both of our goals were brilliantly taken. They also hit the bar after a good save.
Isaacs put them ahead with a first-time left-footed shot curled past the keeper. He saved the best until the second half though, with a stunning pile driver of a volley from a tight angle after he had controlled a perfectly lofted pass from Jeff Gotch.
Catford captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "At the back, we were completely dominant with Temple Fortune's only chance of the entire game a scrambled goalline clearance from a corner which nearly flew directly in. Apart from that, they didn't muster one shot on target and it was probably the quietest game that Guy Ben Aroya has ever had in goal."
Fortune boss Jonathan Cohen commented: "We should have got at least a draw. We had a goal not given but that's typical of the luck we're getting at the moment."
