A brilliant last-minute save from player-manager David Garson earned Faithfold C maximum points as they dented Catford's promotion hopes in a five-goal thriller at Chase Lodge.

Two goals from top-scorer Dan Gordon plus one from Avi Garson earned Faithfold their second straight win.

Catford's goals came through Gabriel John and Jamie Sinai.

The visitors almost equalised in the last minute, but gaffer Garson managed to get across the goal to tip it Ryan Kangisser's superb free-kick over the bar.

Faithfold boss David Garson told JC Sport: "We have started to play quite well in the last few weeks - it's just a shame it has taken so long.

"Catford are a good, well-organised side, but I always felt we had the edge and strangely looked like we wanted it more.

"Dan Gordon chipped in with two goals, and the obligatory penalty miss and Avi Garson, scored his first goal for us.

"All in all a really enjoyable game to play in and I thought we were good value for the win."

Cats captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "Faithfold wanted it more and deserved the win."
