Jono Gaon was at the double as Blancos extended their unbeaten record and in doing so damaged Woodford's promotion hopes.

Blancos started the game perfectly, going 1-0 up inside five minutes. They dominated the first 20 minutes and should have scored a second, with Darren Russell swinging in some dangerous corners and free kicks.

Woodford then went 2-1 up with a beautiful second from their no. 10 and a tremendous strike from Alex Aviram, but then the game turned scrappy in the second half.

Blancos boss Jonathan Ison told JC Sport: "Remaining unbeaten in 2014, we got a thoroughly deserved point against one of the teams contesting the title.

"The match turned scrappy late on, with a brilliant save from Nick Grosse with 10 minutes to go kept us in it, and we even could have nicked a winner towards the end."

Disappointed Woodford boss Tony Charles told JC Sport: "We played a team the failed to grasp the concept of tackling!

"We weren't happy with some decisions and if the opposition 'nicked' a last minute goal as described, they would've been right - it would have been theft!

"A wonder strike from Mitch Hahn would surely win Goal of the Week, but I will leave others to describe and exaggerate how their teams five-yard toe poke was sensationally scored!"
