Fogelman fires L'Equipe to famous win
|5 - 4|
RICHARD FOGELMAN won the battle of the hotshots as L'Equipe came from 3-1 down at half-time to beat Faithfold C in a nine-goal thriller.
Rotation of the squad came into play and L'Equipe paid Faithfold a massive compliment by changing formation to 4-5-1.
In a match labelled Schnitzelman vs Flash, Josh Kaye put L'Equipe ahead against his former club with a very well crafted free-kick.
However, L'Equipe then fell to pieces - conceding three goals in quick succession going into the break 3-1 down. Dan Gordon and Ben Simons found the net to put the Superhoops in the ascendency.
At half-time, managers Josh Lewis and Dan Cordell were livid with the lack of creativity L'Equipe had going forward and quickly changed formation, bringing on Steven Black to give Fogelman more service up top. Fogelman stepped up to the plate and filled his boots and L'Equipe managed to hold on, despite Stefan Simons setting up a grandstand finish with Faithfold's fourth.
L'Equipe joint-manager Dan Cordell told JC Sport: "We got the three points and that's all that mattered at the end of the day - a big win for us and we showed a lot of fight in the second half.
"I think we all realised that we need to play our own game and we'll be fine.
"We're still unbeaten in the league and a gritty win is a sign of a team full of optimism for the season ahead."
Faithfold boss David Garson told JC Sport: "We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory."
