Mike Myers says FC Team B can take heart out of their performance in the inter-club derby that saw the C team boost their title hopes with a hard-earned 3-2 victory at Old Camdenians.
Strikes from Adam Aminoff, David Joseph Cohen and David James Cohen clinched the points in a fiery contest in Mill Hill.
The wind played a major factor in the game, with each team dominating the half when the conditions favoured them.
Team C had trouble playing out their half to begin with and the weather and pitch didn't suit the passing game. However, in the second half, the patience and belief were rewarded with some very well taken goals.
Blake Buckman and Matt Davis registered for FC Team B.
FC Team C joint-manager Mike Myers told JC Sport: "The Bs deserve a lot of credit as they were determined and battled hard."
FC Team B boss David Gordon told JC Sport: "We were incredibly unlucky to lose yesterday. We should have been at least 2-0 up when the C’s equalised and then had another great chance to be 2-1 ahead before we switched off for two minutes and allowed them to score twice. The difference was that they took their chances and we squandered too many of ours.
"In saying that, I was pleased with how we played; it was our best performance of the season so far and on another day we would have won that game. Frustrating but with three weeks until our next league game I hope that we can get a couple more injured players back into the squad."
