Fourth-placed FC Team B finished their season in style with a 4-2 win over Mill Hill.

AC 2-0 up inside 20 minutes, through Ben Kaye and Jonny Horwitz - both against the run of play - through two excellent balls from the centre of midfield into the forwards.

James Grabiner in AC goal was helping to keep AC in the lead but on 30 minutes Dan Alfreds crossed for Matt Davis who finished excellently.

With less than five minutes of the first half to play, Mitch Lassman got himself on the end of another Alfreds cross to steer home from close range.

The goal of the game followed a minute later when Ben Radstone picked the ball up in the centre of midfield and drove a shot hard and low into the bottom corner from 25 yards out.

Lassman was brought down 20 minutes into the second half and Adam Lenz converted from the spot against his old club.

FC Team player-manager David Gordon told JC Sport: "We deserved to win today, but we made life difficult for ourselves early on.

"We were 2-0 down out of nothing but showed really great character to turn the game around and we could have won by more.

"Credit must go to our defence who were pretty solid for the majority of the game and hardly gave Mill Hill a look in.

"After a start to the season where we only took one point from seven games, we managed to gain 23 points from the last 11 in a fantastic turnaround. Things suddenly started to click after our first win in late November, and our fourth place finish is well deserved following our superb second half of the season.

"The cup run to the semi-finals was also memorable and a lot of fun and, all in all, this has been an enjoyable and fairly successful season for us."

Mill Hill boss Joe Levy told JC Sport: "I'm disappointed to lost having led 2-0. Conceding three goals in five minutes really knocked us and we never really got back in it.

"We would have liked to have done a bit better this season. We have a lot to work on over the summer and will be back stronger next season."
