End of the road for SPEC
|3 - 1|
Neasden closed in on second place as they consigned SPEC FC to second division football next season with a 3-1 win.
After falling behind to a penalty, NWN had most of the possession in the first half, but failed to find the final ball. NWN stepped up a gear in the second half and got a deserved equaliser from the penalty spot by Jamie Cooper.
The second goal came from a diving header from Ben Chernoff with his first for the club. This was followed by a third from a superb pass from Chernoff which split the SPEC defence open, allowing Adam Arnold to round the keeper and seal the points.
NWN boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "The pressure was on to win to stay in contention for promotion and the boys showed great determination to come from behind. We didn't panic and showed great team spirit."
