There was high drama in White City as Hendon put NLR's title party on hold with a six-point haul from a double-header against Camden.

In match one, Camden took the lead, but Hendon rallied superbly with a quality double from Yoav Kestenbaum.

Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "I'm not sure there has ever been two such tense finishes in one morning as in this double-header. Ultimately we got the six points needed to keep ourselves in the title race, but that doesn't tell half the story.

"We were nowhere near our best on both games, but somehow managed to muster the spirit strength and skill to win both games. It is typical of our never-say-die attitude and belief and has only enhanced the view that we can achieve the mother of all comebacks in this title race.

"In game one, despite starting well we never really got going and found ourselves 1-0 down with just 15 minutes to go. Up stepped Yoav Kestenbaum surely the finest young player in this league to literally get us out of jail.

"After scoring a spectacular half volley for the equaliser he showed unbelievable calm and composure to smash home the winner in the last-minute when put through by the brilliant josh Lipman. It sparked off unprecedented scenes of jubilation and relief."
