Phillips gives youth a chance

With Zuriel Solomon tucked up ill in bed, fellow Faithfold stalwart Daryl Phillips took charge of the Superhoops for their London FA Sunday Intermediate Cup quarter-final against E. Y. International. Phillips was eager to get a piece of the action but started himself on the bench. He was inching to get on, especially when EYI went ahead, against the run of play. But rather than hit the panic button, Phillips remained faithful to the, on the whole, young Faithfold team. And once Mike Pearson hauled them level, there was only going to be one winner. And Daryl never came on. Now they are just 90 minutes away from the cup final, with the quadruple still on. Who says you win nothing with kids??
