An Anekstein winner, now that's Andy

Manager name:

When Andy Landesberg took charge of the Lions in November, he promised big changes. The average age of the team came down and he brought the pride and hunger back to the team. Andy was honest enough to admit to me after Sunday's JC Cyril Anekstein Cup final that the early penalty incident was a contentious one. They got lucky. Without a recognised keeper on the bench, he breathed a sigh of relief when Tony McEvoy only showed Daniel Lipman a yellow card. The rest, as they say, is history.

They went on to win 5-2, finishing the match with a core of Landesberg's successful Lions under-18 team from last season, and put the first piece of silverware in the Rowley Lane trophy cabinet for three years. Having signed a contract extension to lead the Lions again next season, it would be fair to say - now watch them go.
