St John’s Wood Synagogue was the venue for a gala dinner to honour Howard Stanton as he completes his term as chair of the Council of the London School of Jewish Studies. In his address to the 150-strong crowd, LSJS president Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks paid tribute to Mr Stanton’s achievements. LSJS chief executive Dr Raphael Zarum said of the outgoing chair: “The last five years has seen the rejuvenation of LSJS. Much of this is due to the firm leadership and strategic thinking of Howard Stanton — and we wanted to say thank you.”
