The mayor of Harrow Councillor Eric Silver and the mayoress Evelyn Silver with actress Tracy Ann Oberman at the annual summer fete in aid of Jewish Care’s Princess Alexandra care home. The event was attended by 1,500 people and raised £12,000 for the StanIan Franks, Michael Lerner, Tony Franks and Derek Proops at the annual golf day at Aldenham Golf and Country Club in aid of the Langdon Foundation. The event raised £13,000 for the Langdon FoundationSome of the 300 walkers who raised £20,000 on the 11th annual Generations Walk for Breast Cancer Campaign. Pamela Goldber, chief executive of the charity, said: “The day was a great success. It was wonderful to see all ages take part”Magen David Adom held a reception for their patrons to honour Lydia Callender, for her 60 years of service to the charity,. and Sir Ian Gainsford, for his work as president of MDA UK for the past 14 yearsThe nine UK pupils chosen for the Weizmann International Science ProgrammeJeff Fine, 59 and his son James, 28 were two of the 80 golfers who raised £30,000 for Norwood at its annual golf day at Dyrham Park in BarnetHoward Leigh, Sir Michael Rake and Stephen Zimmerman at Jewish Care’s business breakfast at the BT Tower. The event was attended by 70 businessmen and women and raised £13,000 for the charityHelena Chait reminiscing with Dame Lorna Muirhead, guest speaker at the Merseyside Jewish Forum. Dame Lorna was senior midwife at the Oxford Street Maternity Hospital and attended Helena in childbirth
