A set of heartbreaking colour portraits of Jews in the Polish ghettos of Kutno and Warsaw, taken between 1938 and 1940, were published for the first time by US magazine Life last week to coincide with the 72nd anniversary of the opening of the Warsaw Ghetto.
The JC recently ran a competition for photographers under the age of 30, to see if they could depict Modern Jewish Britain. The winning photograph will go on show at the reknowned London gallery of celebrity photographer Richard Young, who judged the contest together with JC creative director John Belknap.
