The event was held at the Catford Broadway Theatre for a 700-strong gatheringYeshurun Synagogue in Cheadle marked Holocaust Memorial Day at an event organised by Fly the Flag for Israel, a local action groupSouth Lanarkshire Holocaust Memorial Day event at Calderglen High School, Larkhall Bedfordshire Progressive Synagogue and Luton Hebrew Congregation worked on the Luton HMD committee to bring together a wide range of ethnic groups at the HMD ceremony at the Town HallA hundred people from Cheltenham Hebrew Congregation and the Gloucestershire Liberal Jewish community commemorated HMD. The visit was organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET). More than 120 students from St. Gregory’s Catholic College, Capital City Academy, Kingsbury High, Preston Manor High School and Newman Catholic College attended JFS to mark HMD. They heard testimony from former BNP mole Ray Hill and survivor Renee Salt.
