Survivor Zigi Shipper spoke before 200 people at Bushey Meads School.A group of 37 young professionals from London, on Holocaust Memorial Day, on a four-day trip to Poland led by Rabbi Aubrey Hersh and Rabbi Benjy Morgan of the JLEPortsmouth Jewish community and the HMD Trust held a joint ceremony at the D-Day Museum, Southsea. Among the 100 participants were Mike Hancock Portsmouth South MP, Lord Mayor Cllr Frank Jonas and Captain Paul Lemkes of Portsmouth Naval BaseLiverpool Hope University presented Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks with an honourary doctorate of humane letters at the Winter Graduation ceremony. More than 800 people attended the ceremony on January 25.
