JOEL NATHAN fired Faithfold into the quarter-finals of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters Football League Cup.

Nathan struck a deadly double and Russell Rich added a third as Faithfold eased to a 3-0 win at Brady Maccabi B.

North London Raiders triumphed 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw against Division One rivals Glenthorne United A. Kevin Lotzof, Ashley Davison, Danny Goldman and Jonny Summerfield converted for Raiders.

Marc Morris and David Price fired London Maccabi Lions into the last eight of the competition with a comfortable 2-0 win at South Mancs B.

Clayhall Park Casuals put up a stern showing against Division One leaders Brady Maccabi A before eventually succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

Casuals, bottom of Division Two, trailed to Laurence Myers’ early opener before Nick Pitch grabbed an unlikely equaliser. Both teams had chances to win the tie in the closing stages but it was Brady’s David Rose who netted the crucial strike as the visitors pinched a hard-fought victory.

South Mancs A crushed EDRS Stonegrove 4-1 thanks to doubles from Mark Powell and Ollie Olsen as they eased into the next round.
