Free admission – please contact the synagogue in advance
The Rabbis, Chairman and Council of The Liberal Jewish Synagogue invite you to a Service of Remembrance and Commemoration to mark the 75th Anniversary of Kristallnacht. Also known as the Night of Broken Glass, this was the state-sponsored Pogrom, with organised attacks on Jews and the destruction of their Synagogues, throughout Nazi Germany and Austria on 9 and 10 November 1938.
A dramatic liturgy for several voices will tell the story of that night, with eye witness testimonies, readings by Maureen Lipman and Lee Montague, and music performed by celebrated cellist Andrea Hess along with the LJS choir and organist Tim Farrell.
This service is organised by the LJS in conjunction with the Association of Jewish Refugees.
