Shopping – The Clothes Shop
Come and check out our exclusive clothes shop area. Arrive early to catch the bargains.
Stitch and Kvetch
Join World Jewish Relief’s Pom Knits project – buy yourself a knitting kit and start creating your own fashion masterpiece.
Craft Aid UK
Ethically sourced Ugandan jewellery directly from local Ugandan suppliers who are mainly single mothers or disabled women. Every penny that you spend with Craft Aid UK goes to support six charities in Uganda and Zambia. There are no hidden administration costs; all of our funds go directly to where they are most needed.
The Green Promise Tree
A tree created from recycled materials where people can hang leaves with their own green promises. These will then be uploaded onto The Big Green Jewish Website www.biggreenjewish.org.
Silent Auction
Those lust-after designer goodies that you really want will be part of a silent auction throughout the afternoon. Who knows, you could end up with the pair of Jimmy Choos or the Prada bag that you’ve always wanted.
Fete-like stalls and New York-style buskers will also be popping up throughout the afternoon. And if that’s not enough, our New York images will make you feel like
you’re in Bloomingdales.
Restyle your wardrobe
Join Sew That Jazz in our sewing style lounge – restyle your swished items, alter them so they fit, add fringes, buttons and anything else that takes your fancy. Sew That Jazz is a Bristol based design team who love using old and unwanted clothes and transforming them into jazzy masterpieces that keep up with forward thinking fashion and minimalise textile waste for the future.
Busking from She’koyokh Duo
We hope that through this project the community will think more about reducing waste, cutting carbon emissions and trying to live a more sustainable life. The JCC believes climate change is one of the most urgent issues facing our generation and is committed to becoming more environmentally aware as an organisation and for all our members.
The JCC Thrift Shop is working with Child’s i Foundation. Child’s i Foundation is building a transitional babies home in Uganda for orphans, using social media and a network of people giving time, giving money and giving love.
For more information, visit the website www.childsifoundation.org
A percentage of all profits made will go to the charity.
