JCC Safe Space - Plantain, Borscht and Curry Tales

Fried plantain, borscht and curry make up our varied diet in the UK today, and all of them were brought here by immigrant communities. Join the JCC and JCORE for an international food tasting evening. You will have the chance to watch Jewish chef Denise Phillips, Asian cook Kamla Bijilani and Caribbean cook Lennox Thomas in action, learning how to re-create their cuisine as they prepare their chosen dish and tell the stories behind their cuisine and share their memories of food.
