The talk will provide legal perspectives on past, present and future dilemmas and challenges to the State of Israel's self-defined character as a 'Jewish and Democratic State' with Adv. Reuven Ziegler. Reuven (Ruvi) Ziegler is a D.Phil. (Doctoral) Candidate in Human Rights Law at Oxford University. He holds M.Phil. & B.C.L. degrees from Oxford University, as well as an LL.M. (with specialisation in public law) from the Hebrew University. His research interests are human rights law, international law, comparative constitutional law and democratic theory
