World Jewish Relief will benefit from a post-holiday coin-exchange programme launched by non-Jewish cancer survivor Gerald White.

Mr White will be exchanging foreign coins for UK currency, which he will be donating to WJR. He chose the charity after attending the launch of WJR's volunteering programme,

The Big Hand. The Staines resident was "blown away by everything that WJR is trying to do and it made me want to help". He will collect foreign currency handed in to WJR's Golders Green head office.
