Sussex community raises enough to buy a communal bus

July 3, 2008
Sarah Wilks, co-ordinator of the cross-communal organisation Helping Hands, told Sussex Jewish Representative Council delegates that, after five years’ fundraising, the community had raised enough to buy a communal bus. The vehicle, which will be dedicated at a ceremony in August, has seating for 15 passengers as well as facilities for three wheelchairs. It will be available free to communal organisations, except a charge for fuel.
