Enfield and Winchmore Hill Synagogue has appointed Rabbi Yitzchok Sufrin as its part-time minister.

After the former Highgate Synagogue rabbi spent a Shabbat with the community, the Enfield board unanimously decided to offer him the post, which has been vacant since January.

Chairman Alan Sless commented that everyone was delighted with the appointment. They believed that "after almost 15 years at Highgate, where both he and his wife Tzipora were much loved and admired for their tireless work on behalf of the community, the Sufrins will find the same degree of warmth, welcome and community spirit at Enfield".
