UJIA quiz fans tackle a varied question time

By Jennifer Lipman, October 25, 2012

Cryptic clues about tube stations and a “where’s the rabbi” round were among the posers taken on by contestants at the Y-UJIA quiz and cocktail night.

Eleven tables of young professionals put themselves to the test, answering questions such as whether Boost chocolate bars are kosher (formerly, but not now) and the year the Beatles formed.

An entertaining challenge involved a member of each team attempting to consume a whole matzah in the quickest time.

Also featured in the “Quizzee Rascals” event, held at a Kilburn bar, were a “guess the number of jelly beans” in a jar contest and a raffle.

Prizewinners received vouchers for the Everyman Cinema and tickets for the West End musical, Top Hat.
The evening raised £1,500 for the UJIA’s projects in Israel.
