Wizo’s Jewish Women’s Week campaign raised more than £230,000, exceeding expectations in a difficult economic climate.
“We are delighted with this year’s success and are grateful to over 1,000 volunteers across the UK,” said Women’s Week chair Andy Epstein.
JWW dates back to 1947 and is the only Home Office authorised door-to-door collection in the Jewish community. It has raised in excess of £1 million through its last four campaigns.
