Supporters of the twice-weekly playgroups organised by Judith Ish-Horowicz at Wimbledon and District Synagogue raised more than £3,500 to redecorate the premises.
Facilities now include a "Jewish home play area" with a Succah den for hiding in, a comfortable area for breastfeeding and new furniture.
Artistic mothers Eleri Larkum and Diana Carolath painted a tree of life mural and stencilled the aleph bet on the brightly painted walls.
Fundraising events in aid of the improvements included a family fun day at the synagogue organised by parents of children at its Apples and Honey Nursery.
