Resident's story is focus of Norwood appeal
Ravenswood resident Sara
The help provided by Norwood to a 22-year-old born with cerebral palsy is the focus of its Rosh Hashanah appeal, which has a £100,000 target.
Sara is a resident at Norwood's Ravenswood facility in Berkshire. Her condition severely affects her mobility and ability to communicate and she requires constant support.
Norwood has enabled her to perform some daily tasks on her own through state-of-the-art assistive technology. She now enjoys shopping, meeting new friends and going out for lunch.
Chief executive Norma Brier said the charity had given "thousands of people like Sara the opportunity to fulfil their potential. During these difficult economic times, we need the community's support more than ever."
