Hill climbs to century

September 15, 2011

Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks and Lady Sacks and Haringey Mayor Councillor Gina Amadou attended the Muswell Hill Synagogue centenary service on Shabbat.

Lord Sacks praised the work of the community in building cross-communal relationships with neighbouring churches, whose clergy were among the congregation.

He went on that the emphasis in Judaism was that religion was something shared across the community rather than just between an individual and God.
