New Wizo role

Linda Boxer is to head what is believed to be the country's largest Jewish women's charity.

Mrs Boxer, who takes up the post of executive director at Wizo.uk, has held the position of finance manager at the charity for the past 18 months. She said she was "delighted to have the opportunity to take my role still further within Wizo.uk and I am very much looking forward to the challenges and new initiatives it presents. It is a privilege to work for this well-established charity which makes such a difference to disadvantaged families in Israel."

Loraine Warren, Wizo.uk chairman, said: "Linda has the vision and strong leadership to secure a bright future for Wizo.uk."

Mrs Boxer previously worked at Yavneh College as the bursar. She is a member of Belmont Synagogue and is married with three children.
