Princess Lalla Joumala Alaoui, Morocco's new ambassador to Britain, was a guest of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews' Congregation at Lauder-dale Road Synagogue on Shabbat.
Special memorial prayers were recited for the two previous Moroccan kings, one who helped shelter Jews during World War II and the other who promoted peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The shul met the request of its guest for a Sephardi kiddush.
