A dedicated home for postgraduate students has been opened with the help of the Jewish Community Housing Association and UJS Hillel.
The newly-renovated eight-bedroom property in Golders Green, north west London, is for students working towards Masters degrees or Doctorates.
Sara Clarke, JCHA chief executive, said: "This initiative follows the great success over the past five years of working with UJS Hillel to house students in our complex in Princes Park Avenue."
Daniel Marcus of UJS Hillel added: "Opening this house also demonstrates our commitment to Jewish students as they progress up the academic ladder, ensuring that they have amenities which are properly suited to their needs."
It is hoped the home can also be opened up to young people who travel to London to watch the 2012 Olympics.
Mr Marcus added: "This is an excellent opportunity for us to provide affordable accommodation for Jewish students and young people in the periods leading up to and during both the Olympics and Paralympics.
"We want to ensure that UJS Hillel plays a positive part by giving a value-for-money experience for the budget-conscious young Jewish visitor."
The UJS Hillel student centre in Euston will also be used to cater for Jewish Olympics spectators. It will provide kosher meals and packed lunches for fans travelling to the Olympic Park from nearby St Pancras International.
