Gamal Abdul Nasser made a bad roll of the dice in the months leading up to June 5th 67 . He lead the Arabs and the Palestinians in particular , down a cul de sac by promising them the annihilation of Israel and seeking to make good on that promise by . Just imagine where both people would be today had the Palestinians declared independence at any time between 48 and 67 when there was no so called occupation and no settlements . Instead they used the time to attack, murder and maim Israeli citizens at every opportunity .
So now we are given to believe that if only Israel would withdraw to pre 67 , conflict over and all will be right in the world .
Yeh right. One just has to take one look at the descent into darkness the Arab world is rushing headlong into rather than the supposed Arab spring , to make one realise how right Israel is to hang on to every last vestige of land gained in 67 in the absence of an irrevocable peace accord and recognition of Israel as an independent Jewish state.
