Israeli ex-President Moshe Katzav awaits sentencing after being convicted of rape last month.
But he still commands support from a group of Israeli rabbis who believe in his innocence. See this story on Failed Messiah.

But no Israel wouldn't lose its raison d'être if state and religion were separated. It would just mean that its turbulent priests would have to rely on other sources of income rather than the state. |

I have no axe to grind, since I do not follow any religion. Deciding that you must be right after 6 pints is not a reliable proposition :) I am sober, and know I am right :))))) |

Sat, 02/26/2011 - 15:14 Rate this: -3 points | Since people disagreeing with Joe Millis get marked down whereas Millis gets marked up I presume he is the one doing the marking, with his many accounts. |

Sat, 02/26/2011 - 16:49 Rate this: -3 points | He must have at least 3 more accounts, doing some basic arithmetic and noting the speed at which the negative points have appeared over the past 15 minutes. What a monumental loser you are, Millis. |

I can say without fear of contradiction that yoni isn't fit to lick the boots of my parents and I wish him and his alter-ego Jose a long and excruciatingly painful death. Starting as soon as possible. |

To be honest I've just been to the pub and it's all a bit much now. I believe in God and you don't. Can we just agree to disagree?
(Although I still think I'm right)
