I may be mistaken but I believe Stephen Pollard edits the JC and Jonathan Pollard is detained in the USA at the President's pleasure...

oops! thanks, jonathan!

the jc used to have a column giving us a heads-up of tv and radio programmes of jewish interest: let's re-start it online

JBBC MEMO 26

stephen pollard (jc editor, of course!) and cartoonist steve bell debate the allegedly antisemitic scarfe cartoon (from the latest sunday times):
8.21-8.28am on the today programme, this morning on bbc radio 4 …
obviously, you've missed it live, but it can still be heard on iplayer at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01q8k9n/Today_28_01_2013/

see also "Rupert Murdoch apologises over Gerald Scarfe cartoon" at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21239917 and the scarfe cartoon itself (which scarfe has refused the jc permission to publish and which is behind the sunday times paywall) at eg http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4338264,00.html

here's my take on it …

a more convenient way to listen to the pollard/bell debate is this 7-minute stand-alone clip: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21241785
