"Go on, have a go!"

Actress Miriam Margolyes has made a video in support of SCoJeC’s Jewish Inter-Links project. In her message, designed to encourage older people to "get connected", the 71 year old Harry Potter star, whose father was a member of Glasgow’s Jewish community, says: “Nothing I’ve done in my life except learning to drive has given me so much independence and freedom and opportunity to connect to people all over the world”.

No Jewish organisation should give Margolyes a platform

- Appeared in the antisemitic play “Seven Jewish Children” in Australia and as a result was dropped from Jewish Care fundraiser event

- Tried to stop the appearance of Israel’s National Theatre Company Habima at the Globe Theatre in London

- Made an antisemitic comparison of the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust and the current conditions for residents of Gaza (Andrew Marr Show, BBC TV, 2010)

- Supported the Enough! Anti-Israel rally in London in 2007

- Has said “The people who run Israel now can look at Arabs and see vermin, and that is what the Nazis did”

Just like no Jew should never, ever cut and paste a column by someone who calls for Israel to be raped. Or believes that Jewish women mustn't pray at the Kotel according to their tradition, after all, Israel's Declaration of Independence does state that the country "will guarantee full freedom of conscience, worship, education and culture; will safeguard the sanctity and inviolability of the shrines and Holy Places of all religions; and will dedicate itself to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
Do you not subscribe to that?
And why are you in favour of boycotting? Isn't that a tactic of the other side?
Honestly, mate, you really should look at Action for Happiness and the Black Dog Tribe.
Anyway, tea break over. Onwards and Upwards.
