China supports a Palestinian plan to seek full membership of the United Nations next month, China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, released on Thursday. China's Foreign Ministry said that Wu Sike, its special envoy on the Middle East, told Palestinian leaders in a meeting in Ramallah that Beijing and the Chinese people have always supported the Palestinian cause and respected their right for independence. Negotiations with Israel on the terms of Palestinian statehood have been frozen since 2008. The Palestinian Authority is planning to gain recognition as a state in the 1967 borders from the UN General Assembly in September 2011 if Israel does not offer an acceptable settlement.

And I support the Tibetan peoples struggle against the tyranny of Chinese oppression . I also stand with the falun gong once a month outside the Chinese embassy to protest against the murder and rape of the practitioners of this gentle religion by the Chinese government .
Pure unadulterated hypocrisy !

Is that the same China that executes more people than the rest of the world combined? The China which locks up artists like Ai weiwei because he dared criticize the Communist regime? The China which has backed Sudan's actions in Darfur, and offered protection in the UN to those responsible for genocide there? The China which is raping Africa, and backing Zimbabwe?

And let's not mention Tibet.

Who gives a fig what China thinks?
